The paramount purpose of Sakhalin Shipping Company is to contribute to supplying essential consumer goods to insular regions of our country, which have no lasting land communication with Mainland. Such regions as Kamchatka, Sakhalin and Magadan are situated on Russian Far East, within SASCO trading area. More than half of all cargoes, being delivered nowadays to these three regions, are carried by SASCO vessels, registered in the port of Kholmsk. SASCO regular lines have dominant share in supplying goods to these regions, specifically Vanino - Kholmsk ferry line having been operated since 1973, Vladivostok-Korsakov line resumed in 2009, Vladivostok - Magadan line having been operated since 2009 and Vladivostok - Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy line having been operated since 2011 . SASCO also takes an active part in foreign trade turnover of the Russian Federation. Regular lines Busan - Korsakov and Shanghai - Ningbo - Vladivostok - Vostochniy connect Far East regions of the country with the rest globe through Busan, Shanghai and Ningbo – one of the biggest port of Asian-Pacific region.
